Shopping for a Mortgage
April 4th, 2006 | by Chris |We recently purchased our home, it had its ups and downs. Experience and some self taught education made it a lot better. Once site I referenced was http://www.wmrc.net . This site is a collection of links and information on mortgage refinance/purchases. One bit of advice, there are many programs, make sure you take the time to understand which one is best for you.
Another aspect that many people forget is the credit. You do not need perfect credit to get a loan, but the better the credit the cheaper the loan is. But if you don’t have great credit don’t dispair, you can get a loan, you may pay more, but in a year or two, you can refinance and it will have been worth it.
My two cents is that if you can get into a property do it. We waited too long and are wish we had done it sooner. We just didn’t realize that we could afford the loan, when in actuality there are so many lenders and loans that you can do it now.
