Are you “Linked In?”
June 12th, 2006 | by Chris |One tool that I use and have found interesting, but have yet to find a definate value for is Linked In. This is a new way of networking. Instead of going to networking meetings, you can now do it online. I have called it the “Myspace for professionals”.
It is an online networking/job search tool that allows you to network with other professionals. I have made a few new contacts though this, but I am still debating the real merits of it. I suppose if I was more in sales or looking for a job it would be great. But with what I do, it is only useful as a tool to stay connected.
I guess the best reason to join is that if you don’t, someone will wonder why you are not “Linked In” yet! (Call it the 21st century version of keeping up with the Jones’)
