What the Flock?
February 29th, 2008 | by Chris |I ran across a new web browser. I believe it is based on Firefox, but the cool thing about this browser is that it is designed around social networking. It is called Flock.

I am just starting to get into it, but it is really cool if you use Facebook, Youtube, etc. It captures your login to a social networking site and saves it to the sidebar. It then allows you to see and click on the side bar on all of your friends across all of the sites.
It has a media bar, so if you are a member of Flickr, Photobucket, or Picasa, then you can see all of your photos in a browsable media bar across the top of the page.
It links with blogs, so if you are using Wordpress, you can blog right from Flock. Kind of cool if you want to blog a web page.
Lastly, it integrates with Social Bookmarking pages such as Del.icio.us so that you can have all of your bookmarks at the touch of a button.
There is probably a ton more that I haven’t discovered, but so far I am impressed. Impressed enough to let Firefox lose its position as the preferred browser on my computer…
