ChrisShaul.com has just activate a new feature that allows visitors to login to the blog using their Facebook login credentials. This way, you do not have to register to leave comments. All you need to post comments is your Facebook login. This site does not store or utilize your credentials. We only validate the login with Facebook.
Give it a try, by clicking on the login link on the sidebar. Then drop us a note. http://www.chrisshaul.com
I ran across a new web browser. I believe it is based on Firefox, but the cool thing about this browser is that it is designed around social networking. It is called Flock.

I am just starting to get into it, but it is really cool if you use Facebook, Youtube, etc. It captures your login to a social networking site and saves it to the sidebar. It then allows you to see and click on the side bar on all of your friends across all of the sites.
It has a media bar, so if you are a member of Flickr, Photobucket, or Picasa, then you can see all of your photos in a browsable media bar across the top of the page.
It links with blogs, so if you are using WordPress, you can blog right from Flock. Kind of cool if you want to blog a web page.
Lastly, it integrates with Social Bookmarking pages such as Del.icio.us so that you can have all of your bookmarks at the touch of a button.
There is probably a ton more that I haven’t discovered, but so far I am impressed. Impressed enough to let Firefox lose its position as the preferred browser on my computer…

Linux has better Windows compatibility than Vista

Something Linux users have known for a while is that it is much more stable than Windows. However this is one comparison that will raise a few eyebrows!
Linux has better Windows compatibility than Vista
Posted on January 31, 2008
I have been using Vista for well over a year now (since Beta 1). Of course Vista is slow, its bloated (over 10x the size of XP), aero kills system performance (even though this should be done on the video card), networking is pathetically slow, etc etc. We all know Vista sucks.
But recently my blood has been set to a rolling boil by the fact that most of my games just don’t work in Vista. At all. Its so bad that out of spite I have decided to make a list of games that work better in Linux under Wine than in Vista. These are games that were originally written to run in Windows XP, are broken in Vista, but magically work in Linux.
I just found a new plugin for WordPress. It is wp-slimstat-ex. It is an ajax based plugin that fits nicely into your wordpress install. You can read more at the developer’s page.
